Hit up Holmes Res. with my dad this morning (8:30 - 11-am), Ice was a good 5 in. by the dam and 4 in. further out, then closer to 3 1/2 in. 3/4 the way to the north end (didn't go farther north than that). There were a couple of big, sketchy looking cracks, One of which we were able to go around and the other looked iffy from farther away but was refroze pretty good and held our weight as we crossed.

Tried all over, saw the most fish on the finder closer to the dam but only got two bites each the whole morning.

Glad to hear that it has safe ice. I may need to take a quick trip up there soon. I see in your first picture that the rocks are out on the ice again. Wish people wouldn't do that.
