mantau ice? fish or swim?

Anybody been up to mantau after the warm weather and if so hows the fishing and the edges

Was up there last Thur. Warm & wind made an ice sandwich out of the lake: water above & below, ice in the middle. Still 10plus inches, but not worth the inch or two of water on top. A veritable slip-n-slide. Probably could waterski behind a 4-wheeler. More fishermen than fish, and that ain't good.
