Awesome video. Most folks think it is a bad thing to hear the ice doing that when in reality it is actually the ice getting thicker and stronger. The ice has to release pressure to expand with is exactly what you are hearing.

The two trips I have made up there recently the ice has been noisy most of the day. Occasionally the water in the ice hole really splashes around. The fish have apparently gotten used to the noise, because it didn't seem to slow them down from biting.

ya rockport was like that and when you were walking off it would pop and the ice would shift down and bow like 2 inches, pretty sketchy.
