Well opener day here, how did everyone do?
Openning morning saw 3 does. but Satuday afternoon was great for my hunting partner and I. At 4:45p.m. I climbed into my stand and by 5:05 I had a 7 pointer walk in and by 5:30 I was ready to drag out. For my partner I didn't want to ruin his night so I climbed back into my stand and by 5:45 my partner walked up to me and said he shoot a 5 pointer and was ready to drag out. no opening day hunt for me , i had to do some wood work , firewood !

but i was on my way to the bow shop , and it started raining , saw a huge doe crossing a field and figured she was heading for the hill with the pine trees for cover .

i beat her and her cousin there . a double header . coulda had a trip but the third arival had baggage with it , they needed there mama .

i will post the pic , i'm still in my oiley work clothes . i love it when it rains !

i got winter grub ! yummy yummy !

congrats on your big buck ! i hope i see one this year , lol !

anyone can get the deer patch , but a master anglers one , well you gotta be darn near a pro !

bwsides i can't show off a hunting patch on a fishing vest , people will think i lost a few marbels , lol !

I'm heading up to atlanta Tonight and will be up there until Wednesday. Monday night I shot a real nice 10 pointer down here in south lyon. A rough score puts him around 120's
Soon as I get the film done, I'll post some pictures.

the alanta area is pretty good , i've been there once . thats a nice rack ! i've had three chances at some nice ones like that , the first one i just plane frose , full draw too , less than ten feet away .

the second time , i waited too long and he was gone . the third time i launched my arrow right into his rack , i guess i was so impressed with it i was fixated on it and not the deer himself .
