BassERT, Lake Washington, Crappie, Bass or what will Bite, 1-5-12, Gene Waterman
#1
We waited for it to get to 50+ before going out today.
Broke my little toe unpacking when I got here in Melbourne.
So I was slow to go fishing, but Gene called and said he was ready and we put in.
The water supply and RO system for the city of Melbourne is Lake Washington on the St. John's.

We had 60 degree water and a a steady 10+ wind from the north when we headed out.
The lake averages about 5-6 feet deep and the chop comes up fast when the conditions get rough.

Hit some slackwater with weightless worms and TW without any luck.
We dragged different sizes of jigs for an hour w/o a bump.

I went to a canal that was entered by 2- feet of water through a water control valve as wide as my boat and tilted up motor.
We went a half a mile to one of my reg spots and I hooked up on a spittin' image.

The wind got worse and we decided we would come back another day.
Slow report I guess, but it is nice here in the mid to upper 70s.

I will try to do better on my next report.
Good luck to all my CFF friends this year. I will see you "when the weather suits my clothes"

Here is a pic of my little FL black bass

emoCool
