I've lived in Colorado my entire life. Upon the recent passing of my grandfather, I have decided to relocate to Hagerman to live with my grandmother. I've visited Hagerman a couple times a year for the last decade. Memories of fishing and hunting this area with my family have always been fond. I'll be living about a mile from the Bell Rapids access on the Snake River. What I'm looking for are areas to fish that are fairly close to home, since I will be devoting much of my time to work and helping out on the farm. Any input would be a huge help as I don't know the area very well.

Welcome to some of the best fishing you will find in the west! Not sure on that area since I fish the south east side of the state mostly. I am sure there are a few members down in that neck of the woods that will get you pointed in the right direction.

Thanks for the response! I'm definitely going to miss my favorite fishing spots here in Colorado, but greatly look forward to new Idaho fishing adventures!

[fishin] Welcome Scottymagoo, Idaho power stocks a lot of trout right out your back door at Bell Rapids area. there are a number of real good reservoirs within an hour and a half drive of you such as Salmon Falls Creek, Cj Strike and Magic.

it really depends on what you want to do. There is a 12 ft strugeon living near your new home as well as hundreds of smaller one, the malad river is a ton of fun to fly fish or throw spinners etc. below salmon falls dam there are bunches of sturgeon and a few HUGE! trout that will eat your sturgeon bait, a little furthur from home is silver creek and the big and little wood rivers they are a ton of fun to fly fish, then there are 9million little creeks and draws around that might require a bit of a walk but hold some really fun fishing if your into the stream thing and most of them have hatcherys o them so there usualy is a bunch of hungry little critters looking for a meal. I Truley miss teh magic valley and the fun i had there for the 2 years i was there.

I'll be living near Hagerman. I've never targeted cats much but I'm doing the research now. trying to get some tactics figured out. I love the snake river I'll definitely spend a lot of time on the water there.
