Wipers At Willard

Hello All,
First post to this site. Any advice on catching wiper at Willard? Been a few years since I've tried them. What to use ...where to go?

If you are shore fishing try the west dike by the light pole. Reports havent been too good because of the low water. Try shad imatating crank baits i.e. Producers, shad raps and rapala's.

If you were thinking about fishing from a boat, both marinas are dried up. If you have a canoe, it might be a bit of a walk to the water, but you will have the whole reservoir to yourself.

I dont think many people have much recent info on willard. Since the water has been so low, willards fishing pressure has really dissapeared.

If you do get out, be sure to let us know how you do.

The only advice I can give you is that with the cooler weather, they ought to be getting a bit more active. Look for signs of activity like surface boils, or troll areas you see lots of bait fish on the finder.

Me the old lady and the porch monkeys are headed out this afternoon too give it a try,we will launch off the point at the North Marina and give it a try>I will have a full report,if I dont get stuck in the mudd!!!M.H.
