Palisades- Blowout

I went to Palies early this morning. The access to Blowout has finally been plowed. Since I didnt have to trudge all the way down the hill, I decided to try it. Caught a 17" Brown about 8:30, had a nibble around 10, and landed a 18" brown at 3. That was it. Kinda slow, but at least no skunk today.[]

Ice is around 18" in the bay and 14" around the point. Seems like the ice should be safe by the dam, but I didnt want to try it out in the dark.

Thanks for the report . Thats news I been waiting to hear . Was there any slush or water on top of the ice . Thanks Curt G.

This morning it was just 3" snow on ice. The afternoon sun melted that down a bit so there was about 2" of slush for a while. But that seemed to be freezing up when I was leaving this evening.
