I grew up fishing roberts gravel pond and up until last year i was unaware of the catfish in the pond. I took my wife out one night and confirmed the theory. I was wondering if anyone has fished for them through the ice, and how successful you have been in doing so?

I have caught catfish at Alexander. I was just using worms and jigs at the bottom trying to catch perch.

Have you ever gone at night and just targeted catfish? It would be kinda cold but i imagine it would work well.

I caught one last year through the ice at Alexander. It was caught on my rod with a worm. Wasn't very big. There catchable just not to active. Just use what you would during soft water it should work outdoorsman1 caught a carp threw the ice this year which is awesome. If a carp can be caught a cat can.

I've seen videos and heard reports of people catching catfish through the ice, but they are very lethargic due to the cold water. You practically have to bonk them on the head with the bait, because they won't come to you.
