Fished Forsyth and Mill Meadows this past weekend. The ice was good and so was the fishing. We caught decent numbers of splake and tiger trout at Forsyth and a nice brown and some perch at mill meadows. we were using chartreuse atomic tubes tipped with mealworms or chub cutbait. the brown and tiger were both around 20 inches

Nice fish! Welcome to the board, thanks for the pics. How thick was the ice at Mill meadow and how were the edges? That tiger was a beauty!

Nice catching Jake. Looks like you guys are handling the hard deck pretty well until the catfishing heats up huh? You need to come up to the Gorge for some Burbot fishing before the ice goes.

Just curious - you said you fished Forsyth and Mill Meadow, but only reported catching fish on Mill Meadow. Did you catch any on Forsyth? I have never had Forsyth give up any fish. I always wonder if there are really fish in there.

The edges seemed fine. As long as you dont go on the ice right were the stream flows into the reservoir it looked great.

We caught about ten perch at mill meadows, but we didnt spend much time there. None of them were jumbo perch just decent average size.

Yeah I worded the post a little wrong and I know how you feel. last year when we ice fished there we didnt catch anything except one small tiger at the end of the day. We caught the big tiger and another tiger about 15 inches and then a few fat splake also around 15 inches at forsyth. We fished the east side just south of where boats are launched about a hundred yards or so from the dam and about 20-30 feet from shore

Yeah man, Ice fishing is pretty sweet. That would be cool to catch a burbot through the ice. if I cant do that in time we need to go fish one of these days. I will be up at Weber State a few times this summer. we could do some troutin, bassin, or whatever. Hope things are going good.

Good on you, Jake
Did you have your Dad with you? You need to go to Redmond with me to catch some Northerns. It also looks like Starvation is kicking out some nice fish.
Save a spot in your Dad's boat for me at powell in the spring!
