devils creek update 2/15

I made it out to devils creek for the first time in probably 8 years. If you take a plank you can get on to the ice, once on the ice there is ruffly 12-14 inches of good ice. We set up shop down by the dam and right off the bat we had a couple light taps, once you got to the pole the fish was gone. I believe they stocked it with ghost fish recently cause we tried everything. A couple guys about 100 yards from us were pullin up fish left and right. After an hour and a half of that you would assume one would leave right? No we hung out for another hour or so and threw in the towel. Final tally reveled the first skunk of the season. Moral of the story is dont leave the wife at home alone on valentines day to go ice fishing! Although she didnt care we went she did have a few words about the bad luck we took because it was valentines. Just to rub in in that much more[]

i would go about 7-8 feet to be safe unless we get some colder weather. Let me know how ya do, i would like to go back and see if i can get on some fish.

Thanks , we have been doing better fishing about 75 yards east and 50 yards north of the main boat dock . That was 6 weeks ago before the contest . Curt G.
