As of today (Thurs), it is mostly open water with a lot of "ice cubes" floating around. Boats can launch at the marina but need to get though about a 20 yard wide stretch of crushed ice. You got to be careful with those ice cubes though. If you hit one going fast and you have a fiberglass hull, it might damage it. What I mean by ice cubes are chunks of ice about 12"x12"x3"thick. Beautiful day up here today, but COLD. I plan to fish tomorrow since my buddy cancelled on me today. You can also launch on the east side and at the private Spinnaker Point marina. Fishing has been excellent for both cutts and lakers. Jigging or trolling. Everyone I talked to this week has done very well.
