Kingfish, Chickamauga, Crappie, Yellow Perch, 2-15-2012, Jerry
#1
Jerry and I put in about 8:30 am at Chester Frost Park and fished until about 2:30 pm. Boy howdy was it foggy. After going around in circles for a little while we managed to work our way out of the park to the river. Thank goodness for gps maps. The water temp was 45* most of the day. A couple of places the water got up to 46*. We fished everything...bridges, docks and bluffs. I believe we did better in anything located in 15' fow.
The first half of the day we could not buy a bite. As the day wore on the fish started biting a little better. We ended up with 17 caught and 6 keepers. 75% of the keepers were over 12" though.
At one place Jerry showed out and picked off a Yellow Perch. The YP turned out to be 11-1/2" in length (making it a TARP). We fished with Bobby Garland Baby Shad jigs. Seemed like anything with blue on it worked best. Patriot, Blue Pearl etc.

http://i1224.photobucket.com/albums/ee37...012042.jpg
