Got out about noon today and slipped over to Decatur to try for a few crappie. I have never seen so many spider rigs in my life. Apparently, Alabama doesn't care how many poles you use or at least don't enforce it. WE saw one boat with two guys that had 20 bobbers visible in the water. We were tossing jigs and everybody else was fishing minnows. Only saw 4-5 crappies caught. We did manage 5 decent spots between us with the largest in the 3 pound range. Blair did boat about a 3 pound drum. Great day to be on the lake. Now back for a long night at the pet ER.
