Well after fishing 4 CFF Tx's down at that mudhole without catching a keeper fish personally, Jerry and I actually had a blast today. We ran up river from Roseberry almost to Mud Creek. We started out kind of slow, although Jerry caught a nice 2 1/4 spot on about the 2nd or 3rd cast. Water temp was about 48 degrees and fairly clear. We fished the river ledges all day long. Setting in about 16 / 20 fow throwing at the old grass edges with the A rig. {I hate that thing!} I have learned that he best thing about the A Rig is after you throw it for about 2 hours and you lay it down, the next rod you pick up feels sooo gooood! I don't think it really mattered were you where on the river ledges necessarily. Just take off and chunk that stupid thing and cover water. We caught at least 50 Bass and I don't know how many White Bass, Stripe / Hybrids. Jerry was killing them. {Trash Fisherman} I did lose a good fish right at the boat about 6 lbs. or so. We both saw it. One thing I didn't quite understand today was several said they caught fish early and then they seemed to shut down. We did right the opposite. As the day ran on for us, the bite picked up and we caught more fish!? I caught 9 in the last hour and a half before weigh in. Most all of our fish were "cookie cutters keepers" being about 2 3/4 to 3 1/4 lbs. We just didn't get that money fish. But we were lucky enough to weigh 11.89 lbs. for 2nd place. See 'ya at the Nick!
