Porcupine 2/19
#1
Didn't get there til noon but had a good day...
One 14 inch brown.. A 5 inch bow and got a 24 inch ish rainbow to the hole and lost it on the 3rd attempt to land it...
Had other bites..
That's a first on that body of water for me so not sure if it was a good or bad day for Porcupine..
Fished the upper end.. Ice was good... 4 inches of snow on the ice

Anyfish is better than no fish. Sounds like you found some nice ones - no Kokes come to play though?

So how are the edges? Did you need a board? I was wondering - with the snow - did the road get packed down? sorry - lots of questions...

Hi Stan. Hey, I used to fish Porcupine all the time, but it's been a few years. What would you recommend I use to maybe get into a lunker? Thank you very much for any help.

That was my first trip there... I caught one on a Silver Kast Master.. I think it was a 1/4 oz tipped with a worm... Then I used an Ice fly yellow green head at about the same weight... Fished both of them near the bottom...
I mostly went to just look around for future outings... I think I'll go back with the four wheeler and look around a little bit more maybe try to find some Kokanee's...
What have you used in the past???
