More PVC Tube Dude
#1
Check this out. The first is very short but great idea for many lakes.

The second one is very long and lame (someone needs to teach this guy the the fly reel goes on the bottom) Try to fast forward to around 3:30.

Here is the web site.

Fun videos and some interesting ideas.

I am not sure the second video is the one you were thinking of as it is a short one.

Interesting post FG, thanks.
Positives: looks compact when deflated , and the foldback suncover/netting thingy is new and handy sun/bug/rain protection.
Negatives: Dont see if the motor can swing away when hitting bottom and how to clear the prop of weeds? What kind of range can you get at the indicated 4mph if the whole thing only weighs 65#? How is it steered?

[#502800] By the way, flygoddess, when is a fly not a fly ...... I have been tying some flies out of metal, (well not really tying) but they are very lightweight and would probably not qualify as a lure.[/#502800]

[#502800]Are you going to be tying at the Snake River show?[/#502800]

I will be at the Snake River show Sat. morning 8 to noon.
That is a tuff question. Plastic beads, fingernails, rubber, why not metal.
The times are a changing.

Fake Fingernails. I can't post the link with pictures as it is a Fly Tying forum. But killer bass flies out of fake fingernails.

This is one of my favorites:

[cool][#0000ff]If'n it's okay to fish flies with spinning gear then it oughta be okay to fish "hard finish" flies with fly rods.[/#0000ff]

[#502800]I like it ....... I can even see bite marks on it ...... I guess, that could be a person biting their nails before it was used to make a fly though.[/#502800]
