Jordan River for me. There are sections they pile up in.

Depends on your definition of "close" - as in to what? If UL is your "close" - ly it's my "far". But it should be a good choice.
Willard is full of 'em. Up my neck of the woods Cutler and Bear River are chock full. I know I've heard of some others down south that folks are always complaining about 'em. Maybe someone else can chime in.

I live in the south Jordan Riverton area. Cutler is a little far for a day trip for me. I have heard the bear river is a blast I want to get up there this year.
I'll be trying deer creek and Jordan river soon. And definitely still hit UL [signature]

For some reason I'm having a hell of a time catching carp right now. I slaughtered them last year at Pineview, Willard, and in a few various secret ponds and spillways. I haven't caught one in a real body of water since just before ice on. I've hooked a bunch of catfish on the fly while carp fishing, which is cool, but the golden bone fish has eluded me so far this year.
Thankfully, The Goddess and I have discovered a honey hole that produces them all year long... Summer can't get here fast enough. [signature]

Sight fishing is important. Place the fly right in front and very little movement at times. Flies vary, but sparkle eggs or glow bugs, buggers. I like some heavy flies at times like with dumb bell eyes. They will also ht dries at times.
