Grantsville on the toon 3-10

Grantsville - Fished with BFT's Aquaman and my twin. We were there from 2:30pm to 6:30pm. I went on the pontoon for the 1st day of the year. Evil and Aquaman fished from shore. Man we threw everything in the tackle box with no fish! Finally at the end of the day I was "canadian" trolling (paddling) and I caught 1 rainbow. 1st ever while padling. It was caught on a Gold Jakes tipped with a nightcrawler.

Not many others with fish today. The water is super high and ice free. My toon was slowly leaking over the day. My sonar unit failed me at Deer Creek the other day so who knows how effective my vertical jigging attempt was. Figured it was close to ice fishing?

The lake was glassy for a change.

Days like today made me realize why I should appreciate trips like the recent "Fish Lake adventure" so much more. I hate getting the skunk. For some reason when that lake is open water....we just do not get along. Only gonna try a few more times....and then if the situation does not change...I am only gonna ice fish it.
