Changes to michigan walleye season

dnr anounces today that they are closing walleye season for an additional month, insted of opening on the sast saturday of april it will open around june 1st.

this is in addition to the limit reduction set on lake erie. Ohio is also reducing thier creel limits as well on lake erie. no word on what canada is doing at this time.

the creel llimit rule is if you fish canida waters you are requried to only have the limit set by law on the land you touch shore on. so if you want canadian limits you will have to get home by way of land through canada if you land on shore in the states you are required to have the limits set by the state you set shore on.
