Ice Off at Strawberry

I have been reading some mixed reports about ice off at the berry. I drove by this last weekend and saw that most of the shoreline in general has not opened up yet. The only open water seemed to be in very shallow areas, near inlets, and some places on the soldier creek side near the dam and the main boat launch. I am sure with the high temperatures and wind the last few days that more shoreline has opened up. I am wondering if any more areas have opened up? Would you say that the majority of the shoreline has opened up on the Strawberry side? what about the soldier creek side? or still just inlets and shallow areas.

I was by there today and you somed it up, but it looked like this wind could open up more.. Some was catching fish in the open areas by casting on the ice and dragging it off..

Definately more open water on the SC side than Strawberry.

It is better fishing for longer IMO when the ice comes off slow. I actually hope it cools off and that we can enjoy fishing the receding ice for a while. Worst case, though, we will be fishing open water at Strawberry soon.
