Wave Fishing Review
#1
My package from Wave Fishing came on Saturday. So after work i went to try out the new 4" swimbugs i got. When i went out if was really overcast, and a huge downpour of rain just ended. Rain would randomly pour down heavily then stop for a while then start again. I tied on a 3/8 oz bullet weight, with a 5/0 hook, only hook i had at the time getting smaller ones for these lures, and started fishing the sweet potato pie color. I eventually caught a fish, but i was so drenched i decided to head home. The next day i tied on a watermelon chartreuse color, and i caught 2 bass. Both were in the 3-4 lb range. I then tied on a blue and black color of this lure, and got bit hard but the lost the fish in the weeds. Same thing happened with the watermelon candy color. The only color i have not hooked a fish on is the watermelon black speck. These are amazing products, i have used the tiki sticks and still do because they are the best stick bait to me. I am going to buy these in the near future. Another thing, even though wave fishing is based out of Texas, i got the package in 2 days! Which is better then waiting a month for my PlayStation (lol). I ordered the "swim bug kit" which came with 6 bags of lures, 7 per package, of the color of your choosing. I got 2 sweet potato pie, 1 watermelon candy, 1 watermelon chartreuse, 1 watermelon black flake, and 1 blue and black color. Below i posted the pictures of these colors.

[indent][indent]Caught two more fish yesterday. And also had a few hookups but lost them because of the weeds or the hook wasn't set enough.

I got three packs, gave one to my buddy. We plan to fish these weightless, and run them on the surface,"like a horny toad, from zoom".P.S.Pauly pro tip.I get away with using a 1/0 2/0,and but mostly use a 3/0 worm hook, instead of running the hook through the center of the body,I hook it thin just through the outside, come out and put the tip in the body to keep it weedless.I find you get an easier hookset this way,may spin on the retrieve, but not on the surface[Wink]

we also loose them in the weeds.[Image: bobmad.gif]

Way to go Spencer..I used one today but no luck.I ran it on the surface for a bit weightless.I'll save them for night fishing.Alfred caught 105 and I caught 58,...... I can't beat Alfred! [Image: angry.gif]Our first cast we doubled lol.Alfred set a new record,5 in a row.I nearly got three in a row with my frog I modded, but late I lost a huge bass 5 or 6lb,saw her under the boat.,then she got away..

Caught 2 more on them last night, one with the normal setup, the other with it as a trailer on a jig. I've also noticed a lot of fish up close to the bank, but they won't take anything i throw at them. are those males making their beds? And they will not run away just sit there swimming in circles.

Possible, their beds look like a moon crater. Bare in the middle with some dirt or stone that make up the sides. Smaller ones are sunfish.

I'll be trying his baits saturday.

Its awesome you enjoy night fishing, nightfishing is more for the serious angler you know, I respect you more for that

Not even Pro bass fishermen fish at night lol. They usually just get up early and leave early. Pauly tip,try a white swim bug at night[Image: scaredworried.gif]Yesterday we saw them nesting as well at the glades, look for rocks. We caught them on beds as well.At my lake I caught my biggest bass on a nest 24".First one followed my bait, then kind of spit at it.I put something else on and both went for it.I think I caught the bigger one.[Smile]P.S.I like try to catch the bigger one on a nest, but if you get the smaller one,try to release him quick, the bass should return to the nest.If you caught the smaller one wait a bit till that one returns, then go for the big girl. The trick is to leave one guarding the nest at all times.I do this mostly with the Lukinani.I rarely see largemouth nesting here at the lake.

It wasn't really night fishing, i started like 30 mins before sunset and stopped about 2 hrs after sunset. So i guess it can be considered night fishing.
