Lower Bells - Arrived at 9:45am to see the place to myself. I caught around 6 cutts before UWN's Fleigenbinder showed up at noon. We shot the breeze as it was our 1st meet up and he taught me "the way of the fly flinger". Very informative guy, I sure learned a lot and have even more to practice! He caught 4 cutts before he left at 3:30pm. I stayed till 7:40pm while the dry fly action started! Boy was that fun!
I ended the day with 21 cutts and the largest was just after Fleigenbinder left. It was a 17.5 incher caught on a dry fly! Man that was fun watching the slurps! The fish are getting smarter, indicators will spook them. It was hard nymphing without them, lots of missed bites as you really had to watch them. On the hike down I met up with a few guys I haven't seen since high school. What a great day!
Some of my cutts before UWN Fleigenbinder showed up
While UWN Fleigenbinder was at Lower Bells I caught this beauty!
Me and my 16.5 inch cutty
UWN Fleigenbinder and his cutty
My 17.5 inch cutty on the dry fly!
Another cutty on the dry fly!
