Fished the Snake near Marsing yesterday from 2:30 until almost dark. We spent about 1.5 hours fishing for cats and landed 2 between 3 and 6 lbs. We did get around 8 bites, but they either stole the bait or wouldn't stay with it.
We also through against the bank for smallies. We boated about 15 or so. White swim baits were the ticket, but I didn't have any. I did get a few on Chart 3" grubs, but did better when I switched to a small white spinner bait. Also caught one on a crank, first cast, then nothing after that.
The highlight of the day for me was that I snagged into 3 carp. All put up a heck of a fight and I finally landed one. Hopefully I'll have a picture to put up soon. Didn't weight it, but I'd estimate it was in the ball park of 10 lbs.
Edited to add picture.
