Anderson Ranch 4-21 & 4-22
#1
Got up there Saturday afternoon and fished from 430 until 830. Caught two one pounders; one on a jerk bait one on a dopshot within 30 minutes then nothing. When the sun got behind the hills it turned on a bit. We ended up with 11 smallies big going 3.74, 7 bull trout and one squaw. This morning we launched at sun up and caught two that didn't cross the 12 inch line. The river blew out are prime area, the water dropped from 56 to 42 and looked like coffee and couldn't get bit in all the normal places. We were of the water by 830 and headed to swan. Swan was lots of small fish sitting in at least 12 foot of water. The water was slack and down about 18 inches, if you don't know the channel I'd stay off. We got into some decent fish on plastics but really started hitting them on cranks, but only ones that wouldn't get affected by the current. They were keyed in on craw colors and would hit on the pause only. Best bass went 3.76, weights are on an accucul scale so they are accurate. Probably caught close to 100 under 14 inches mostly on texas rigged orange pumpkin dead worm ringers by zoom. I'll put the pic of the swan smallie when I get it from my friend.
