Utah Lake, Tibble, American Fork R. 4-28
#1
Utah Lake - Arrived at Pelican Marina at 3pm with Aquaman, my dog and my twin. My twin didn't fish the 1st hour thanks to a migrain headhache. I was about to launch my toon but the wind picked up quickly after arrival. We got the skunk using spinners, baits on the botom, etc. Nobody there really got into any fish, just a mud cat and maybe 1 white bass. It was time for action!

Tibble Fork. Arrived at 5:30pm and gave it a shot. Aquaman got 1 rainbow and had sveral bites. I tried fly fishing and while wading out there I sunk into the mud trap and got soaked. Worms on the bottom was best. I tried the creek above the lake and got skunked.

looks like the twin needs a buddy to go to tibble fork that knows that lake in the summer time when the water is flowing good XD. Ya did u try fly fishing where the creek come into the lake. The one that flows under a bridge. if u go there and if the water is flowing pretty good and its deep that place is amazing on elk hair or prince nymphs. good times beating my dad while he use the magic bait but i used elk hair and still slayed the fishes XD.

We should go up there together when the water flow is better and when i will have my license and maybe a car ha ha ha XD.

I'll pick you up.[cool] Sounds like you have it more dialed in.

I stuck with Zebra midges and Jumbo Ju Ju's. When they stayed on the line of course! I was at the inlet on the East End so not the bridge one. Pretty shallow and man that mud acts like quicksand if you venture too far out! Took a nice dip up to my chest! Luckily the camera I had was water proof and my phone was below my wader belt and stayed dry. Although that phone sat in 8 inches of water at Lake Mary this year and remained ok!

ya usually i like to go up there when the water is more full and fish where the bridge is . Even if u get weed cover there thats an amazing spot for fly fishing on elk hair caddis. bite after bite never ending fun XD. Ive caught a few in that spot that were atleast 12-15 in rainbows and they do like to fight for the flie XD.

When ever the lake is slow i usually drive up off road up river where people go camping to find some nice fat brooks or rainbows those are fun to find because you dont know where there hiking in those fast deep pools. They see the caddis they look at it and say yummy i shall take it before its gone XD.

good times.
