[cool]Today is my only day off this week and the wife wanted to go fishing. What a wonderful woman!! We hit the water south of 33 hole just after dawn in our floattubes. After alot of kicking and many coves I get my first hookup while jigging. A nice 2lb4oz striper fought great and was put on the stringer. Beth was using anchovies on the bottom with no love. We threw all kinds of lures for lmb and striper. About 45min. later while still jigging,I get slammed again and this one was heavier and did alot of runs. Finally got him in and another striper at 4lbs2oz. I change up Beth's rigs for jigging and with a swimbait and start kicking back. She gets a grab by a small lmb that didn't want to be caught. I am tossing a white grub and land a small lmb that was 11" long. Time to head in for a beer and lunch. Although she didn't land a fish, Beth was happy to be kicking in her tube again. And this girl had no problem keeping up with me. Great day to be on the water. Also while cleaning the 2lber I found a fresh crawdad in his belly. I guess he was still hungry.

Hey, any shad about in the back of the coves yet?

[cool]The only shad we saw were gizzards that seemed to be boiling like sripers. They would splash around in a tight group but when they jumped out you could tell what they were.
