Cascade, Horsethief ??

My fishing buddy and I fished Horsethief last week. We fished from the bank using worms. Between the two of us we caught 9 trout in about 4 hours. They ranged from 10-13". There were a few boats on the lake and a few people on the bank, but it didn't look like many people were catching anything.

Tackle Tom's had said the reports for trout fishing from the bank were better at Horsethief than Cascade, but that was last week.

Fished Horsethief Saturday & Sunday from a boat, I thought fishing was very good.
Flasher + wedding ring + worm = Fish The trout were in the 10-13" size.

We did all C & R caught near 50 me and the wife.

Usually Cascade starts coming on about now especially for bass and perch. Memorial weekend seems to be really good except for all the people, of course.

I went up to Cascade this morning on the maiden voyage of my new Super Fat Cat - boy can that thing hold a lot of gear and it was fairly comfortable. It was nice sitting out of the water a little ways because it exposes fewer wader leaks. The fishing was streaky but very good at times. I only caught one true jumbo but quite a few in the 11-12" range and those make a nice fillet. The guy I was fishing by caught two huge 15" monsters. It was much better today than this same time last year.
