I live in kuna so I tend to hit swan falls as much as possible and lately the river has been so low you can see islands I've never seen before! Gives you a heads up on where to fish! I found a nice deep hole just below the dam I would say is close to 50 ft now and you can actually bank fish it now when normally it would be impossible. Heading back out tonight! Anybody else fish this section much? I could use the company once in a while!

Cool. Time to pull your GPS out and get some holes mapped.

I might take you up on that some time. I have fished it before in a pontoon. I had a blast. Ron

Done fishing for the night and caught a bunch of dink bass and a squaw bouncing worms and using a spinner! Had a few taps on the sturgeon rod but no set. Two guys up river had their line in the money hole and kept getting tapped over and over but hooked 2 5 footers!

I fish above the dam with my bass boat even that can get scary the further up you go. I've never fished below the dam. I wonder why it is so low with the runoff melting you would think it would be high.

I live in Ogden, Ut. amd my most favorite area is a section below swan falls. I'm older than lava rock now but I just might do one last trip even though gas is way up and it's a very long distance and I'm at about 30% endurance. [frown] What I've always done, is drove to the end of the frontage road, set up my tent trailer with my fishing partner, Buddy/Sparky, a Golden and hike in. I've always had great success fishun for smalies and miss it terribly, even with poison oak/ivy, etc. I have fished it early spring, summer and fall. Maybe I'll see ya there?
