[font "Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"][size 3]The Nevada Department of Wildlife (NDOW) creel census clerks reported that fishing pressure dropped off from the previous week at the Overton Beach area due to boat ramp repairs. Anglers reported continued success for striped bass at Fire Cove, Stewarts Point and Ann Marguret Cove. The fish averaged 18 inches and were taken with anchovies. Largemouth bass were also taken in the same area. They were taken with crankbait and black plastic worms. [/size][/font][/size][/font][/left] [left][font "Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"][size 3][font "Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"][size 3]Echo Bay anglers said that fishing was still slow, but a few stripers were taken near the exposed sandbars. The 16 – 18 inch fish were taken with anchovies.[/left]Boaters reported good success for striped bass in the lower basin. Stripers that ranged from 1 – 4 pounds were taken with a variety of surface lures. Saddle Cove and the 33 Hole were the prime fishing areas.[/size][/font][/size][/font]
