Reading about tagged fish...

After reading the thread about tagged fish, I couldn't help but be reminded of the banded birds I have shot or looked at over the years. In addition to enjoying the fishing on Lake Lowell and the Snake River, I love to take pictures of the wildlife seen along those waterways. The most recent, and most unusual banded bird was viewed last week on the Snake River. I took several photos of some Caspian Terns, but didn't notice the bands until I later looked at the full size photos.

Note the bands on that bird in the foreground. On his right leg it has 2 green and 1 aluminum band. On its left leg it has 3 orange bands. This bird must really be a sucker for some kind of trap.

Those banded birds make me wish it was waterfowl season. That picture is pretty cool!
