Your favorite rig for big Crappie.

Just curious what your guys favorite rig to catch large crappie with. Its part of my summer fishing checklist to catch a bull crappie. Thanks for the help in advance!

For slabs where allowed live minnows tops my list under a slip float. Next would be live crickets or hoppers followed by mealworms. Going to artificials I like the small minnow imitations with a limber tail action such as those made by Gitzit or Southern Stingers and a variety of small tube baits and a few curly tail 1 1/2 inch grubs.all of which I tip the hook with white Crappie nibbles. To Locate the rascals I will use minnie Strike King spinnerbaits or tiny Rapalas and then switch over.

I've got into some on all kinds of flavors - spinners, blades and beads of my own, jigs and curly tails of various colors are a big favorite. I'll even slab a curly jig on behind a spinner blade.

Feather tail jigs can do well too, white, chartreuse being big.
