Hawkins 6/21

Between baseball and work fishing has been limited. I finally had a couple of hours and my oldest boy wanted to get out in his float tube so we made the trip to Hawkins. Had the water all to ourselves as well as the sun really hot.The fishing was slow only landed 2 but it was worth the trip. Two more weeks of baseball then I will really hit it hard before football.

Welcome to BFT. Thanks for the report. Hawkins being so small and shallow seems to fluctuate with the weather more than many places. Plus it has been pounded pretty hard lately.

I am surprised that no one else was there. Everyone else must not have done well there either in the last few weeks, or you would have had plenty of company. [laugh][laugh]

It is a nice lake for float tubes. Although the last time I was fishing there, there were two jet skiers that were using us for a slalom course. [shocked]
