Went and hit a couple of reservoirs in the Preston area yesterday with a buddy. The bite wasn't super hot but it was steady most of the day. Had trouble finding anything over 17" but all in all we had an awesome time out on the water. The weather was beautiful and almost dead calm until about 2pm.

If you found them over 12" you did better than me this year so far. I caught a couple 16" but 40 or so around 10" still fun on top water.

Oh we caught a few dinks but most everything we did pick up was 12-16". Lost a good one about 6 feet off the boat, that was probably the only picture worthy fish of the day though. The funny thing was they wouldn't touch anything on top water stuff. They started shallow for a couple hours in the morning and then moved out deeper as the day warmed up.
