Im taking a trip to Strawberry next week and would like to know how to use pop gear, and what all people use to catch trout out there besides powerbait. I have 3 days out there and will be on a boat. Unfortunately I do not have down riggers...Thanks in advance!

You drag it behind the boat, then when you get back to the dock reel it in and see if there is a fish on it.
Take some white tube jigs, 1/8, 1/4 oz Throw them out and let them sink. Twitch them back to the boat at different sink intervals, like 5 seconds of sinking, 10 seconds of sinking, 15 seconds of sinking...
If you get a hit, remember how many seconds you counted down and try that again. This way you are straining the water to find the depth the fish are at.
If you use some scent on the tubes it helps as does a small piece of sucker or chub meat. You can probably catch some bait (chubs) with a small piece of worm near shallow weed beds.
Don't forget the crawfish, they will be thick. Tie a piece of chicken back, wing or neck to a string and let it sit for about 5 minutes, then slowly pull it back in and net the crawfish that will be all over it.

Trolling with pop gear is not a lot of fun, often small fish cannot be felt on the end of the line. You also want to have a heavy pole with a fair bit of weight on ahead of the gear to get it down. You also have to troll pretty slow to keep the gear down to the depths fish are at this time of year.
Behind the gear all manner of things can be pulled. I like to be at least 18" behing the gear and as far as 3' with things like needle fish, flatfish, rapala's, or rubber squids.
If you use gear pull it alongside the boat to get your speed right, fast enough for the blades to spin, but no faster.
Line diameter plays into the equation as well, braided line is thinner in diameter than mono and so it creates less drag and allows lures to run deeper while still being heavy enough to pull the gear.
You didn't mention if the boat has a depthsounder/fishfinder. That will be a big help in finding hte depths fish are holding at.
In addition to the light colored jigs mentioned earlier (which are my "go to" lure for the berry in the summer you can troll with flatfish or deep lipped crankbaits in silver/black.
Some of these cranks are rated by the depths they run, like the Rapala DT (dives to) series. You can run a couple of different ones to find the depths fish are holding at.
Some advantages of the jigs are cost. For the price of 2 Rapala's or pop gears, you can get several packs of jigs and tubes and a bottle of scent.

Thanks troll. What kind of jigs do you use and do you just jig or troll them?

I use regular "tube" style jig heads in 1/8 and 1/4 oz. If the wind is to much for those to get down I find a more sheltered place like the channel behind the island off of the narrows. I fish from the Soldier creek side so I don't have to deal with the wind on the big side of Strawberry.
I like the tubes over other types of rubber because they hold scent better and for longer.
White in 2" and 3" for the tubes. White with black is also good, sparkles in the white never seem to hurt. The chubs are what you are trying to imitate,
I just jig while drifting along or using the electric to stay barely moving depending on the wind. I suppose you could troll with them, but depth is a key factor in the summer and it is hard for me to know what depth the jigs are running when trolling.
Early morning is best, IMHO. The fish have calmed down and are in closer to shore looking for chubs.
I crawfish in the afternoon when the wind comes up to much to make fishing from a small boat to dangerous. Be sure to try the crawfishing, the kids have a blast with them and they are very good eating.
