Dropshot, Chickamauga, Whites and a Couple of Largemouth, 6/14/2012, Taffi
#1
We headed out around 6pm from CFP to a spot on the river where we have been seeing the white bass go crazy. The whole plan was to see just how many we could catch. When we arrived there was a boat around 200 yards down from us. We started out fishing a dropshot in 30 feet of water and catching a few whites here and there. Also caught two largemouth, that both measured just short of 16 inches. Finally the topwater bite started and it seemed like we would catch one on every cast. I was throwing a Lucky Craft Prop Bait, while Taffi was tossing a torpedo. We caught fish continuosly for around a hour before the darndest thing happened. Two punk-ass kids running down the lake in a LUND decided to pull up right beside us...I mean 30 feet from our boat right beside us and start fishing. Then they start getting closer. I started to do something major that I would have probably later regretted, but Taffi urged me to show some restraint. We kept catching fish until we counted 64 total before quitting, all the while watching the LUND thugs catch nothing because I would not show them what I was fishing on the ledge.
If you are one of these punks in daddy's walleye boat, I would be careful. One of these days you are going to pull up on somebody and the result could be bad.
