Bear Lake Contour Map Posters
#1
These are contour map posters of Bear Lake done in September of 2002 by the USGS. They were created using side scan sonar. Many folks have been interested in contour maps of BL. Don't expect these to look like the Fish-n-maps of other bodies of water like Flaming Gorge.

These files can be taken to Kinkos and printed full size for excellent wall hangers. Here's the kicker though, each file is 17 meg so make sure your internet hook up is on the speedy side or start downloading before you go to bed!

You'll also need Adobe Acrobat Reader to open the files. Once they open and show up, save the files to your hard drive. Enjoy! http://www.bearlakemack.com/OFR_sh1.pdf

Being a Bear Lake fanatic like myself, I thought BLM would be very interested in the data, so I hooked him up with a copy. He thought some of you folks would also be interested in the posters and has kindly used up a sizable chunk of his web space in order to share them with the rest of the BFT community. Enjoy!

Remember the reader is going to open and it may take quite a while to grab all the data depending on your connection speed. Run your mouse pointer to the top of screen in the title bar. If you're getting the hourglass you have data coming in. I just downloaded it and it took approximately 3 minutes before I could view it and I'm running a 300+kps cable connection. If you're on a dial-up it will take a long time.

Anyone else having a problem downloading these files?

Wow, I think you may have the record for the oldest thread resurrected. I thought that Rich had remembered his password for his old username and posted again.
