I got back last night from two days of fishing Fish Lake with two of my boys. The temps up there are 65 during the day and 32 at night crazy for this time of year.
The macs are in full spawn now on the east shore line, I took my aquaview and was amazed at the number of big fish in the lake. The macs were rolling on the surface all over. I tried for hours to get them to bite with big tube jigs , bunny jigs and spoons but no luck. We caught as many rainbows as we wanted trolling just about anything.The bigger ones came on rapala tail dancers chub patterns. (19") Two days of fishing many many rainbows.
In the next two weeks the browns will move in shallow in the twin creeks area to spawn with the brookies. It is very cool sight kind of like the kokes in strawberry. The stream is closed to fishing now.
