Kinda boring but Panfish rampage

Been on panfishin rampages latley with my twin. Most places are secretes so in the past 2 trips we have nailed over 25 perch, 30 bluegill, and many a largemouth bass. Even my 1st carp on the fly happend sunday.

Ah another Yellow Perch that didn't go to the fryer.

That looks like a greengill, and it sounds like you are having some good pan fish frys , nice pictures too

man youve been pullin some nice perch out of there, maybe the bushwacking you did gave you better access, i tried but it was a pain to get through some of that stuff.

Those perch were not from that "secret pond". They were from a reservoir that you have been to lately........hint hint.

Yep the sock pic is that pond......

We figure that judging by the worm containers scattered on the beach there are enough people taking fish out of that pond. However I did catch a bluegill that had a "eagle claw" leader stickin out of its mouth...so I guess someone is playing C and R there too.

It is a delicate balence with a pond that small.....you do not want to take all the food (perch, bluegill ect.....) out of the pond because the Largemouth and Catfish will have to struggle to get food.

But then again if everyone plays C and R....the fish will stunt once they overpopulate.

So at this point TDT and I are gonna play C and R.....and see where the pond goes over the course of the next year.

P.S. The only fish we have kept so far are those stinky Carp. I HATE those fish.....and they make great Catfish bait!

well cool it makes me mad when people leave garbage around places especially worm containers, it makes us as fisherman look like slobs and have no respect for nature. i will be cleaniing up garbage evertime i go there and maybe next time ill bring a sign to post at the pond that says if you pack it in you pack it out.
i will get my rematch with the hog largie that swallowed my blugill when i was reeling in, i just gotta figure out a way to fool em legally[:p]. but cats in there is cool i havnt stuck one yet.
Also is it turning over fast or is it somewhat clear still?
