Provo River Last Weekend

I was up at my family cabin and got to do a little fishing on the Provo when it wasn't scorching or raining outside over the weekend! Over the last few months i have been trying to throw streamers on the rivers i hit and i am really enjoying it, seem to be getting quality fish and i love watching an aggressive fish come slam it in the hole! Overall the fishing was really only good from 8-10 AM and like 6-8 PM for me. I caught a couple on nymphs and one on a stimulator dry but i was letting my cousin from New Mexico fish mostly so i can help him out! I hooked two big boys on a streamer i tied up and they worked me over and went up in the some gnarly fast water and were climbing it like salmon and the hook was out, the same thing happened twice in the same hole. I was bummed out, but i got one decent brown on the streamer so that was good enough for me! Im really looking for a nice 26"+ brown this fall on one!

Great pictures you got there...oh how it pains me to think about how many fish I have lost due to fast water...or even worse....the spring torrents. Sometimes I joke and say the only way I could have landed the fish on the other side of the river is with a helicpoter[].

Looks like you're on your way to that big brown you're after. Keep after it with those big streamers in the upcoming months and it'll pay off.
