Cascade Fishing
#1
Got back from our 1st week up at Cascade and headed back up on Monday for 3 weeks. Fishing was slow but still managed to get some nice bass, perch and one pikeminnow.

After getting settled in, I walked around our place and found this 32' tree down. I couldn't find the stump that it broke off from until I looked up.

It broke off of the tree on the right which WAS 90' tall. Thank goodness it was out by the road and not near our place.

We went out on Wed morning. It was cloudy and finally rained on us around noon. Sherrie caught this nice bass, about 14", on a fluke.

I finally managed to catch this 13" on my jig.

This is the hero of the day, a 14 7/8" perch on my jig. It fought like a BIG bass. Biggest perch I've ever caught.

Sherrie again catches the biggest bass on Thursday, 15" and also caught a skinny 12" perch on her fluke. I only managed a 10" bass on a jerk bait.

This little guy kept landing on my feet while we were relaxing at our place and finally got a pic of him.

We got a nice fillet off the perch. Hope to get into more bass and perch and hopefully a nice rainbow or coho in the next 3 weeks.

Thanks for the report Bob - that is a very nice perch and I'm happy you didn't break the fall of that branch. PM me if you want some info for your next trip or if you get into them because I am up there all the time.
