Welcome, there is all kind of useful info all over these forums. Keep trying, if your not catching them with anchovies your not in the right place because I feel like im cheating when I use anchovies on a Carolina rig . Lake mead they are hitting topwater lures right now around the wash area.Good Luck

Where are you fishing? And is it from shore or from a boat?

I had that same problem when I first started fishing Mead hard 3 years ago. my first outing was fair, I was jigging 2oz crippled herring's from shore out at Boulder harbor, I ended up with 4, 17" stripers in a couple hours.... then... I went over a year before catching another one, I caught lots of carp, and catfish. but not another striper till about a year later after joining this site and absorbing all the knowledge. even though that was my pb striper @5lbs, I only caught 1 other striper that year. then after doing some more research on here, this year has been a banner year for me on stripers, I have caught over 15 stripers this year from shore, I know it may not seem like a lot but for me it is. and its all from reading threads and applying that knowledge on my outings.
