Boat ramp at Cozy Cove at Deadwood is not useable

Don't know how many people that frequent this forum have plans for camping and boating at Deadwood this upcoming holiday weekend but I wanted to provide a warning. I was just up there 2 days ago and the concrete boat ramp at Cozy Cove campground will not provide access to the water. It's hard to tell if the forest service possibly did it on purpose because of the risk of getting stuck in the mud but two of the concrete sections of the ramp are sticking up at the joint about 30 inches in the air. Luckily I use an inflatable boat so I don't really need the ramp but if you have a bigger boat on a trailer and were counting on trying to use the ramp at Cozy Cove, it isn't going to happen this weekend.

good heads up but i would never pull a boat in there. up where the river comes in is an option.

You'll get good "karma" or whatever you want to call it for the heads up. I can only imagine how frustrated I'd be to drive all the way up there just to see the boat ramp unusuable.
