Fished the last half hour of light last night in hopes of finding some keeper crappie. Fished deep and had 4 nice keepers, 3 on consecutive casts. I figure that I hit the sweet spot on those 3 casts, then lost the perfect line as the current was moving me around. It was great to get out there for a short trip. The fish were pretty active as it took me a few minutes to get the deep structure that I was trying to fish lined up. The fish were on the bottom in 17-18 feet of water. I fished with a 1/16 ozer in my favorite deep color.
