Gunlock Information?

Headed down south soon and was wondering if anyone had any recent information on Gunlock?

Although its been a hit and miss fishery over the years for a number of reasons, the scenery is amazing and the potential used to exist to catch some great fish.

Has anyone fished it recently, and if so, how was it?

when are you coming down i fishit on fri. it was okay lots of little bass ton of crappie at the start of oct. 1 they are changeing the lunch ramp hours

Just remember to take the mosquito repellant. Haven't fished that hole since late May. Caught a couple of bass and threw them back cause there is a mercury warning there. They llike chartreuse colors.

If I don't go trout fishing later this week I may head there myself. I'd like to catch some crappie cause I hear they are a good for the frying pan. Do you use a float for crappie? I'm used to fishing the bottom of the lake with a sinker.
