What has changed these past 7 years

Hello everyone, I used to live in Utah and had a great time fishing with all of you or a lot of you. Getting together for outings were a regular thing. There were the fishing classes by TudeDude, HFT's flyrod building class, outing to Jordanelle, Causey and the best outing was breakfast on the ice at Rockport. I had to move away because of my job, friends retire and move away, you know life happens. I hope you all still get together maybe not as big groups like we did back then, but to enjoy and share each others knowledge, I learned so much and had such a good time. Waiting for the day to return to Utah for the fishing, not so sure about the winters but the fishing and friends I created here were top notch.

In the last seven years, there have been some changes.
The Forum has grown.
With the growth comes more controversy.
Members like Polokid who put the time and effort into fishing events have left us.
Others like yourself have moved.
Events like the Willard Bay Tournament have stopped.
People have become busy and don't have the time or desire to donate to the forum activities and events.
Times have changed as has the Forum.
It's lost a lot of it's old personality.
I doubt that it will be coming back either.

I say all of this with great respect to those who have volunteered their time and money to past events.

I just don't see the same excitement and energy being given to the Forum any more.

Has it been 7 years already, wow that went by quick.
DKStroutfitter is correct but some new events are taking place today that we did not have 7 years ago. We have had an ice fishing contest for a number of years, last year a catfish contest was started and new this year, there will be a Bass fishing and Fly fishing contest.
There are not nearly as many free give away's as we had in the past but we are making due with smaller items, like BFT flags but nothing is free any more. Hope you and the family are doing good.
