Here what it is like when it snows in Oct. Be prepared for the cold. It was fun though, but I learned what I needed if I am in that situation ever again.

Not my biggest, but my biggest brookie, and my sons too. These are what get me motivated to go there.

Nice fish Neil! Those are some beautifull brookies!
Its suppossed to be 38 for the high and 18 for the low, that would definently make for some cold fishing in a boat.....

We did well today in state dock area....morning before 1030 was good for me. I was trolling holloween pattern by FG using a sink tip fly fishing line. Gartside Hackle I believe. did not regret starting early.
I now know why peeps believe they lose 20lb fish. I lost one today that was about 15lbs....upgraded my tippet to 8lb and soon hooked a 20lber...I was soo giddy and thinking wow...the cost of mounting this thing is gonna be pricey but worth it! after a struggle to reel myself(plus pontoon) to the fish.... I pulled up a huge chunk of vegetation...with a cutt below the pile of mess still fighting...Dang it!
I'm hoping the 15lber wasnt also a mess of weeds..sorry no pics but you will have fun....good luck!

nice fish! I have to ask about your boat...seems you might be in a pontoon? I'm thinking of getting rid of my jet and buying a pontoon. Any thoughts would be appreciated!

The pontoon boat is awesome there are some goods and bads. Goods tons of room lots of open area you can fish 8 easily very comfortable with the couches moving front and back seats. Bad not a lot of cover in wind hard in the wind with anchoring down with waves you will get sprayed. But other then that I love it I would get another one.
