Those carp are pretty unpredictable. I've caught a few on spinners, several on jigs, lots on flies. The first time it happened I was fishing a small creek quite a ways up from where carp would enter. I cast up under a bridge and the thing just hammered it. I was fighting it for about ten minutes, convinced it was a monster brown, and then it finally emerged from the cover of the bridge. I'll admit I was a little disappointed.

I am still hooking/landing them with a fly. Nice Mirror Jeremy.

Is it a mirror? I figured it was a common that had lost most of its scales.. It also had a weird growth on its bottom lip it was about the size of a quarter around and about a 1/4 inch high with little pimple looking bumps all over it..

Looks like a Mirror to me. Common have smaller more uniformed scales and they don't loose them like that, or at least that I know of.
