We went last week and the fishing was awful! But if you have a good fish finder you can find the schools of stripers and supposedly spoon for them. It didn't work for us. The only striper we caught was taken at the back of a canyon (can't remember the name) trolling.

Frustrating to say the least.....Jeremy (bott fish crazy) and i were graphing fish every where, but struggled in getting them to bite. Most places we went (knolls and forgotten) had plenty of fish, just that they wetter tight lipped! Just didn't seem hungry or eager to play....we caught around 10 smb 3 lmb 1 walleye and a dink stripper....we graphed a gazillion fish night fish from the doc but didn't have success...we fished super hard and it was a bit discouraging not to get into them! On another note,.It was absolutely magical as far as weather and just being down there and seeing the beauty that place has to offer
Most all fish were caught on yamamoto Shad worms...
Every one we talked to seemed to have experienced low success as we did....
We also escaped with our lives after hitting a rock at 20mph....its good too be alive!

Stinks to hear the fishing was poor, and worse yet your boat got hammered? How bad was the damage? I was super cautious with that. I followed the bouys the whole time. If I was near shore I was using my electric motor.
