Chesterfield?
#1
A recent report would be greatly appreciated. I would like to throw some flies up there. What's working?

Very muddy, especially the upper end. Down by the dam or boat ramp it was still clear. But most of the middle and upper end has no visibility. So much exposed mud flats and shoals and the high winds are churning the lake up pretty good.

So it's not worth trying? I was just thinking about stripping flies from my pontoon.

Catfish, I have been to Chesterfield quite a bit this fall. Each trip the lake is getting more and more off color. Last time I was there the folk using powerbait and worms from shore were catching fish. Guys in boats and float tubes using flies were having a tough time. Where I fished last time the clarity was about a foot below the surface. One guy told me he could not see his fins when sitting out in his pontoon boat. Like I said if you stick to the end where the dam is or maybe the boat ramp the water is probably still clear or somewhat clearer.
